A little time out… and lots of new ideas
Now back from my main buying trade show, I’ve happily locked in lots of beautiful new gemstones, ready for Autumn/Winter ’26 and Spring ’27.
So now I can finally go on my summer (well… now more of an autumn!) break, with so many ideas buzzing around for my new collections.
I often find I make my best work after taking some time out … being in nature, by the sea, and simply having the time to notice, gather and curate the influences I see around me, before translating them into wearable designs for everyday.
Meanwhile, the jeweller watched all her chums, clients and family members head off on their various summer holidays… and yey for that! Now, it’s our turn.
It’s the shopkeeper’s lot, really. We often nip away for a weekend or a week whenever we can, grabbing those little pockets of time where possible. But this year, we have a rare 12 days off together … and I’m very much looking forward to making the most of it.
New ideas, new gemstones & new commissions
Clients have really enjoyed exploring my new online Gallery, and it’s been lovely to see it helping people formulate ideas for pieces they’d like to have made.
Of course, many of my natural gemstones are almost impossible to source again or recreate, so the Gallery isn’t necessarily a catalogue of pieces I can simply repeat. Instead, it’s a wonderful way to explore what I’m good at making, what’s possible, and the different ways we can work together to create something uniquely yours.
I’m looking forward to recharging the batteries, soaking up some inspiration and letting all those new ideas percolate.
I’ll be back at my bench on 2nd October, and I still have a little room for a limited number of commissions to be completed before the end of December.
And just a little reminder … everything listed in my online shop is in stock and ready to go, including gift-boxed vouchers, available for any amount and with no time limit on when they need to be spent. Anything can be dispatched on my return.
See you back at the bench soon!
