Wow… what a scorcher!

I never thought I’d wake up hoping for the weather to cool down a tad. But I’ve rather enjoyed this unique spell — a little continental buzz here in town. A joyful reminder of my Italian ancestral roots.
And later in September, I’ll be enjoying some of those continental delights myself, heading into Brittany once again. Visiting dear chums, discovering new regions, and taking a proper pause.
I’ll be away from 18th September for two weeks. 🇫🇷
As a sole trader, stepping away from the business is never easy. But I’m getting better at it. With my husband’s encouragement, this holiday will be a holiday from work, admin and devices too. A real reset.
It’s amazing what a little distance can do. Somehow, stepping away always seems to make room for new ideas, new energy and new directions — both personally and creatively.
I’m also very grateful for the work/life rhythm I’m finding these days. My store is now open without appointment on Fridays & Saturdays, and behind the scenes there’s been a lot of work to keep the business, the brand and everything else moving.
I suppose that’s the life of any artist - juggling work and life, while life keeps on life-ing.
After nearly 25 years of building, maintaining and showing up for my little jewellery world, I’m finally learning that it’s okay to change things. To pivot. To make space.
Perhaps, when you care deeply about what you do, putting yourself first takes a little guts.
And I’m fortunate.
Fortunate to have built something that can now flex with the life around me - and incredibly fortunate to have such understanding, patient clients who have given me the space to find that balance over these last few years.
So, for now… I’m enjoying the rhythm.
And dreaming of Brittany. 🇫🇷✨
